The site it replaced

The old site tiled a wood texture behind cursive headings and stretched every photograph out of shape.

The decisions

• The gallery is the site. Every other page supports it.
• A horizontal materials strip runs oak to walnut to ash to painted, so choosing timber feels like part of the pleasure.
• The commission process is laid out in numbered plain steps, because bespoke work fails on unclear expectations.
• No prices, and the site says why: every commission is quoted individually, in writing, before any work starts.

The work leads every page, and a commission enquiry arrives already knowing how the process runs.
